As it turns out, moving domains is actually rather close to moving house. Flipping stressful and fraught with problems that you’re sure no one else has had to experience, but there you are wondering how only 200 of your 900 heartfelt posts have been carried over to the new site.
The good news is that we’re here (well most of it is here) and now we won’t be going anywhere for a long time – yippee!!
The even better news is that to celebrate this move, I get to do something that I love doing – sharing my favourite things with you!
Blogging has lead me on a journey that I never expected and given me opportunities that I never thought possible. It’s great. And to thank you for sticking around and coming back here every so often, I have put together some of my favourite things for one person to walk away with.
Can I get a WHOOP WHOOP?!
There are many things I’m good at, typography and photoshop are not in that list of things… Can you tell?
I’ve broken it down into important parts of my daily life, so let’s get going –
Taking care of your tummy:
It’s no secret that I enjoy going out with my husband. We make sure that we spend a little quality time together once a week. But we were getting bored with going to the same places all the time, so we downloaded Zomato to our phones and never looked back. Now we can find all kinds of restaurants in different ways – ones that friends have recommended in our area, according to what we feel like eating, something on a budget or even somewhere to go when we’re left in the dark (thanks Eskom).
I want you to have a little taste of that experience, so Zomato will be gifting you the chance to visit SEVEN different restaurants (on account of the fact that they just celebrated their 7th birthday) to experience what these lovely places have to offer. Plus you will have a great excuse to see what Cape Town and our surrounding towns have on their menus. In fact, I’m flipping jealous. You will be able to go to:
96 Winery Road in Stellenbosch – R100
Kikka in Paarl – R120
Blasters in Brackenfell – R199
Yindees in Gardens – R100
Zapata in Claremont – R150
Baran’s in CBD – Wine & Shisha experience
Bampas Cafe in Durbanville – 20% off bill
Look after your skin:
I’ve found out the hard way that it is really important to really take good care of your skin. I’m sure my lack of skin care is part of the reason I suffer with acne the way that I do. So I use a couple of great, natural brands:
I love this brand. Not only for their products but what they stand for. How they empower people by equipping them with skills so that they can earn an income. Their products are amazing, seriously the perfect gift or sneaky indulgence, but you HAVE to treat yourself to a massage at one of their Spas. You will not be sorry.
Rain have gifted a beautiful smelling hamper. Right now it smells so good my whole house smells great, just imagine how you would benefit with it on your actual body!
I have been using the Teen range (I irony of this is not lost on me) of Natural Beauty for about a month now and I can feel the difference. Being natural, I have no worries when I put it on my face in the evening (after I have removed my make up). Naturals Beauty is also handcrafted and made in small batches, so you are guaranteed of a great product each and every time.
They have included this awesome hamper so that you too can look after your skin naturally:
Take care of your hair
What good is spending some pamper time at the salon if you can’t maintain it when you get home? Retail Box has all of your salon quality products right at the click of a button.
Looking after your financial wellness:
INCOMPASS INSURANCE CONSULTANTS
Ain’t no one got time for paying more than you should for insurance and having claims repudiated. You still want us (I actually work there, so you know you’re in good hands) as your broker for your personal, commercial and guest house insurance.
Spoil yourself a little:
Whenever we need to go shopping, we head over to Canal Walk. Without fail they will have every store that we are looking for and more, I mean with over 400 stores you’re bound to find what you’re looking for right? I love that they have a range of different options all in the same place – this is even more beneficial when we take the kids along because getting them in and out of the car adds like, 30 minutes to every trip. The less we have to do that the better!
Canal Walk are giving you R1000 to spend at any of their stores! (Dies of jealousy)
And last but not least, you need to spoil the kids in your life
I am guilty of spending more on my kids clothes than I do on myself. But I can’t help but want to dress them in pretty things all the time – I mean seriously, while they still sort of acknowledge my influence, I’m going to dress them the way I want 😉 We’ve been long term lovers of Sticky Fudge, for like, forever. I’m sure you can see why.
Sticky Fudge will be giving away a R500 online voucher for you to spend on the little person in your life (if you’re not yet a Mom – their baby items are the BEST baby shower presents ever!)
So to wrap that all up – you’re going to be one super happy person – just the way I like it.
