You know, when I first started watching YouTube videos about toy unboxing…
Bwahahahahaha. OK, let’s just rephrase that because that sounds like I did it intentionally. And as a Mom of 3 with a husband, a job and a blog who would use the limited time that they have to do that? Let’s start again…
When I first started letting my children occasionally watch Youtube videos and I had to watch over their shoulder to ensure that they didn’t watch something that would scar them for the rest of their lives, I wondered why people even watch unboxing videos. I just didn’t get it.
You’re watching other people open things that aren’t yours. Woohoo. But our kids were hooked. They loved watching other children unbox and then play with new toys. And slowly but surely I got it. We only stopped doing it because Knox once used Google voice to ask it to find videos on “Chase playing with Barbie” or something like that and it started playing a video that no children should ever see. Thankfully because of my hectic over the shoulder approach, we saved his innocent little eye balls for another day.
The good news is that this unboxing video is totally for a family audience. Unless you’re super against saying “booyah” and the occasional, but very funny fluff.
We absolutely adore our new Hatchimals. Riya got twin A which has been named Grace. Kyla got twin B which is called, “Pink and Purple” which is a rather interestingly matter of fact name for a new baby. They’ve been having so much fun getting to know each other and the fact that the Hatchimals are twins has totally been great for the girls. They are practically twins themselves and so it’s been very sweet when they insist on them having twin time.
So I hope you enjoy this video as much as we enjoyed making it!
