Over the years I have had the opportunity to be interviewed a few times and it’s been fun sharing our story with others. Usually every single interview contains the same question – Why did you start blogging? And when I answered that recently in another interview, it got me thinking about how we started this little space.
In the beginning it was solely just to record all our memories as a family because writing them in a book just wasn’t happening. (I mean who even prints out pictures to paste into books? Not me that’s who). But then our blog became so much more than that as I started to connect with other like minded Moms. It honestly changed my outlook to know that I was not alone in the things that I was feeling and the joys and frustrations of parenting. Aside from a few close friends, the moms in my computer talked me through some pretty weird experiences in my life.
So if you are a Mom, wanting to know that you are not alone in whatever it is that you are experiencing, I want to introduce you to some more awesome Moms. I hope that you find a couple new people that you relate to that you would like to connect with.

Oh hi! I suppose introductions are always a good thing. The Husband and I became parents in 2013 and it took me a while to start this blog. Being on maternity leave is not conducive to blogging. Having a baby on your person 24/7 hinders the ability to use a keyboard but here we finally are! Alive and kicking on the Internet. I’m not sure what this blog will be… thoughts on parenting, discovering things as we go, how my son is growing, product reviews of things I’ve tried and loved and loathed.
I am so happy that you have stumbled across my blog! My name is Lisa Bartlett and I am a doting mom to a beautiful baby girl, Cassidy, who I am UTTERLY in love with. She is absolutely everything and I thank the amazing God I serve for gifting her to me.

My name is Charlene and I share news and reviews of beauty products, toys, events, fashion and whatever else I feel may add value to your life. I realise that a new lipstick or a Nirvana tee (which I am still searching for by the way) may not be life-changing, but if it can put a smile on your face, I’ve done my job. I try my best to keep this a positive space as life is hard enough, so expect to only see positive reviews. Oh, and I try to add a healthy dose of giveaways, because who doesn’t like to win?! I hope you enjoy your time here!

I started out as a content producer but digital marketing, strategy and brand growth is my forte. This blog was born when I needed to vent when no one else would listen but has grown along as I have grown. It was renamed from Single mom in the city to Remarried mom in the city is my journal, my therapy and my voice in times of need.
Through this blog I’m going to share my journey of joy in starting and growing a family through adoption. There are unwelcome frustrations along the way too, but mostly these are admin-related and mostly there is MUCH joy! The kind of joy that squeezes you tightly at 05h30 in the morning and kisses you with snotty smooches. What a pleasure. My heart is to start conversations around this topic and to make adoption more ‘normal’ by creating a network for adoptive moms to share their stories, be encouraged and also feel part of the ‘mommy community’.
