It’s quite a nice feeling to finally be sort of in control of a situation. The knock on effect is that I am able to deal with everything else a bit better, less stress induced mood swings and stupid reactions to insignificant things. By Monday we will have a definite answer on whether we will be packing up all of our worldly possessions and saying goodbye to our little old house. Which despite how sad I will be, I really do hope that we will be saying our goodbyes.
I’m pretty sure that my kids will be grateful when this is all over – they are quite sick of being plonked in front of the TV when people come to view the house. No wait. That’s not right…
Anyways…
I found this cool post on The Harassed Mom… Originally found here and I thought it would be a pretty cool thing to do. Even though I absolutely adore being a Mommy, it is not all that defines me. (I’m even releasing my inner teenager and changing fonts to make reading this more interesting – I know, I don’t know what’s gotten into me either!).
I am: a WIFE, a daughter, a sister, a daughter in law, a sister in law, a FRIEND, a partner.
I am sometimes: FUNNY, tired, responsible, HAPPY, fun to be around, QUIET, scared, nervous, SILLY, sarcastic, quick to react, full of nonsense, SPONTANEOUS, selfish, happy go lucky, LAZY.
I like: JUNK FOOD, watching the faces of my sleeping children, listening to music, drinking milo, reading blogs, DIPPING NIK NAKS IN CHOCOLATE FONDUE, chatting with my girls, eating out, spa massages, GIRLS NIGHTS, watching a fire glow in the dark, cuddling with my boy, reading a great book, my husband and his sexiness, WATCHING ROTTEN COMEDY, clothes that fit perfectly, laughing till I cry, CAPE TOWN, the smell of freshly mown grass.
I dislike: BEING COLD, eating hard eggs, my kids being sick, NOT SLEEPING WELL, having to make too many life changingly serious decisions in one go, running out of Milo, when Seth works late, CLEANING, anything that flies, WATCHING SPORT ON TV, having something fun turn into work, having the same argument with my kids every day, THAT I WILL NEVER WEAR A BIKINI EVER AGAIN.
It’s actually quite an interesting little exercise – trying to be real with yourself and see what you really are when you remove the “Mommy” stuff, you know like deep down inside and stuff. How’s that for a thoughtful Saturday!
Peace and love!

[…] though it would be fun to do what my friend Cindy did here and what was found […]
It’s all about the fonts, Cindy, all about the fonts 🙂 I, too, am just coming to terms with the never wearing a bikini again thing. Some days, I breathe in and think ‘maybe’ but I’m just kidding myself. It’s not going to happen. Thanks for joining in with this. It’s been a pleasure to read.
