Walking Around Without My Face On

I’ve been doing the strangest thing this week.

After getting up, seeing the kids off and showering, I just put on my Dr Hauschka medicated cream and then sit down and work.  I haven’t put on make up in a couple of days.  On a sort related note, I also haven’t left the house in a couple of days.  I am working from home and actually being so much more productive here because I can get onto my laptop at like 7.30 as opposed to 8.30 after sitting in traffic for hours.  Anyway…

In case you’re wondering what’s up, working from home this week and not putting on make up for a whole week is another one of my attempts to clear this blasted dermatitis.  After seeing a homeopathic Doctor on Monday, this seemed like it would at least assist in the process.  While I am not quite ready to discuss all the ins and outs of what’s going on with my face or my views on homeopathy, I have made the small progress in that I have a treatment plan to stop it coming back in the future, but also antibiotics to make it go away now.  Which is kind of what I wanted.  Some immediate results.

You see, there is a route cause for anything that happens in our bodies.  Just treating the symptoms with radical treatments like Roaccutane or antibiotics is actually only treating the out workings of the cause.  After you are finished with your latest treatment you will often find that it will come back, and that’s because we’re not treating the cause.  This was so hard for me to accept because I want the easy solution.  I don’t want to change my lifestyle, I don’t want to change what I eat, I don’t want to be told what to do.

So that’s where I’m at.  Not a fantastic place, but at least there is a glimmer of hope.  Now I am just hoping that it all works out and that some day I may even be able to choose what I want to eat when I want to eat it.

How’s your week going?
