Two years ago I was in an induced labour with Knox.
Some of you may have just experienced the Hollywood version of birth, but if you are wondering what real labour is like, let me share that for us it consisted of a lot of zombie killing and crying into Seths armpit. I don’t know about you, but I am still waiting to see that at the box office.
Anyway, last night I was thinking – 28 years ago, my Mom was going through the very same thing to have me! Apparently I liked my cushy little space and didn’t want to come out, so eventually I was taken out by force. Sounds like me getting out of bed in the morning, so I believe her.
Before meeting Seth I had never known of a child that celebrates their birthday on the same day as their parent. But then I met Seth and it all changed. Seth and his Dad share a birthday and so does his sister and his Mom. How crazy is that! Two incidences in one family, which Knox and I have made into three. It’s a family tradition really.
Sort of. Because you can’t really plan that sort of thing.
Either way, Knox and I share a very special day together and I can’t wait to get started and celebrate with him and the rest of the family. (Just to clarify, that doesn’t mean I want to get up early.)
Also a big shout out to all of our twins out there, judging by social media, there’s a lot of us aging today!
