I know that it seems that we share a lot about our lives online, and it’s true, we do. But there is one thing that I haven’t really shared with you and that is that Seth has a type of cancer that affects his immune system – it will never totally “go away”. I haven’t shared it because it isn’t my story to tell, it’s his and when/if he feels like it, he will share it one day, on his terms. However, it is something that affects us all the time.
So when Vicki from I Want That (a blog that I adore – so much inspiration) invited me to join her for a Cuppa For CANSA at The Table Bay Hotel next week, I couldn’t say no. Especially because I get to bring ONE lovely reader with me! How cool is that, we can meet and chat over a cuppa for a great cause!
More details:
The High Tea is being held at The Table Bay Hotel on Thursday the 23rd of October (at 2.30 to 5pm) and hosted by Le Creuset! And ONE lucky reader will get to join Vicki, her other special blogger guests (and their guests) and I for the afternoon. YAY!
But that’s not all – Everyone who hosts a Cuppa for CANSA tea party of their own is eligible to enter the main Le Creuset competition to win a R10000 Le Creuset shopping spree – download the printable from the Le Creuset website here, upload pictures of your party (with your printable) to Twitter, Facebook or Instagram and don’t forget to follow Le Creuset on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram when you share your #cuppaforCANSA
To sweeten the deal (as if it could get any sweeter) – There is a prize of a R10 000 Le Creuset gift voucher for the most inspiring tea party (as well a few other smaller prizes too). Le Creuset is also donating 30% of the sale of its rose pink cappuccino mugs to CANSA.
So let me and Le Creuset encourage you to spread the word and host a Cuppa for CANSA tea yourself, in order to raise funds for CANSA. Check out the CANSA website for more information.
To enter all I want you to do is comment on this post and tell me a bit more about yourself – you are also welcome to share it on Facebook and Twitter with the social media buttons below.
Also make sure that you follow Le Creuset on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram when you share your #cuppaforCANSA
Competition closes on Friday the 17th at 11.59pm and the winner will be announced on Saturday morning. Only available to those able to get to the Table Bay Hotel on time and don’t need a flight to get there 😉

My name is Amy and I am a 27 year-old working mom and wife. Have a gorgeous daughter by the name of Phoebe who just turned 1, and would love to support/join/spend money to help with this cause.
I’d love to join you for high tea!! My dad is a cancer survivor, so it’s a cause close to my heart.
Hi Cindy, I’m a mother of 2 girls with the world on my shoulders. I love my children almost as much as I love chocolate – jokes – I think. My mother in law suffers from Cancer and anything to support a cause working towards a cure or better live for her I will get behind.
Ah, this would be amazing! First, a very long overdue catch up with you – and I’ve never met Vicki, but have also been following her blog for ages. Would be lovely to spend some time catching up with lovely women – all for a good cause. And we all know how important it is to support each other as females.
I’m 28, a blogger from Cape Town.
I’m Ashleigh 🙂 27 year old Office Manager for a law firm! Cancer is super close to my heart – my dad, 4 x grandparents, 1 x aunt and 1 x uncle have all been victims. Family and friends are the best treats in life. I have a blog setup but there’s nothing on it yet…it is on my never ending to-do list. Also, I’m also getting married in 2015 WOOOHOOO 🙂
Oh Cindy, cancer is the suck. My father has it too. Anyhow I’m a part time work from home mom, a few months from 30 0_o…and I love high tea. Had a birthday party high tea last year.
You know me… My FIL has stage 4 cancer, and my godmother died from leukemia so I know how it sucks. Would be cool to join you for tea xx
I’m a Capetonian girl with crazy curly hair and a love of cats. I used to fly all over the world (as my job!) but now I’m back in my favourite city, living with my favourite people and working at our small family business. I stopped flying for health reasons and I’ve been Paleo (but not strictly!) for about 3 years which is why I was so happy to see that you’re doing the same… (I make your flourless chocolate cake once a month!). I’d love to meet you, especially over a cup of tea.
I’m a 29 year old mom to 3 beauties. I know about Cancer. And I’m very afraid of it. I suppose you only really worry about these things much when you have kids and you worry about leaving them behind. Who will take care of them, love and comfort them when they need it? I know also that I don’t like talking about it, even 20 years later. My mom passed away when I was just 9 years old. My aunt has had a mastectomy. My sister has had a mastectomy. In the future, I fear I will need a mastectomy. That’s me in a nutshell…for now. I’d love to attend a High tea 🙂
Tea is always a good idea. Pick me! I’m a mom of 2, living in the suburbs and new convert to the world of mommy blogging.
This sounds amazing, I’m 31 weeks pregnant so cake and tea sounds like heaven to me 😉 I am a makeup artist and started a business selling bridal accessories. I love reading mommy blogs and wish to start my own soon to capture all the memories for my baby to read one day.
I could tell you about how cancer runs in the family am how every generation the females have been survivors but you want to know about me not my story so here goes… I hate mushrooms, no seriously, I loathe them with a fiery passion. I like to crochet even though I can’t read a pattern, I love horses and hedgehogs, im a hippy that prefers being barefoot and I would simply love to join you and finally get to actually meet you.
