A Day In The Life Of The Alfino'sCurrentlyFrom MomJust For FunRegular FeaturesThings To Ponder

There is only 14 days until Christmas.  We have bought the kids gifts and one of the adults.  I think that says enough about my current state of frenzy.  There’s nothing that I am better at than procrastinating!

Listening To:  We’ve upped our Christmas music status by adding Mariah Carey, Elvis Presley and a few others to the mix.  It’s quite cool listening to all the songs done in different ways.  It might be lame, but I really enjoy Elvis’ take on the whole thing, his voice just has so much soul.  Silent Night is a definite favourite.

Feeling Thankful For:  The end of the school year.  I can’t wait to not have to rush the kids every morning – we’ve all been taking the strain of the busyness of this time of the year.  I love being able to just taking the day as it comes without shouting about putting on shoes, finding jerseys and battling traffic.  It’s going to be bliss.  I need this little break to properly ready myself for this next year:

Side note:  I’m SO not ready!

Making:  A little bit late to the party I finally got around to making the kids teachers a little thank you present.  You guys, I didn’t even take a picture of it.  What is wrong with me?  Anyway, I stuck with old faithful and just changed up the presentation of the Brownie in a Bag.  They loved it and asked for the recipe, so I think that’s always a winner!

Anticipating:  We’ve booked a weekend away next week on a farm in the mountains.  To say that I am looking forward to it is a rather big understatement.  Don’t get me wrong, I love the beach, but there’s something special about the inland areas.  Seth is most looking forward to teaching the kids how to fish…  After he’s taught himself that is.

Eating:  Mince pies! Best!

Watching:  Sons Of Anarchy.  To say that I am addicted doesn’t even do it justice.  We have to watch at least two episodes a night – minimum.  Sometimes we stay up till midnight when we just can’t not watch the next one – I love that.  Jacks Teller is my new Brad Pitt.

Loving:  My new air plant holder that I got from Typo as a belated birthday present to myself.  All we needed was the holder as we have tons of the plant growing in the tree in our garden.  Love having greenery inside our home (especially ones that require very little care and attention because ain’t no one got time for that).

I really believe that everyone deserves this holiday. It has been such a hectic year that it is time to relax. Just be safe that all, main focus now.

Enjoy your holiday away, look forward to some stunning landscape images.
