I’m always kind of loathed to refer to my kids as bunnies, but Easter comes and I just can’t help myself.
This post is “late” because after Easter Seth and I were able to go away to Paternoster for two glorious nights all on our own. That’s right – without our kids! So instead of feeling obligated to blog I just shut down for a couple of days and it really was exactly what I needed.
Our Easter weekend went by in a blur of chocolate and tantrums but for the most part it was a really great time to chill with family and just enjoy being together. We ate too much, we cheered Seth (who was running the Two Oceans) from the comfort of our couch and then we ate some more. Pretty perfect break I recon.
We kicked of Good Friday with church and then a stop at Casa Del Alfino (Seth’s parents) where they had a spread to rival any other. It was delish as usual!!
On Sunday we spent the afternoon in Kalk Bay at our good old favourite, The Brass Bell. Never fails to entertain, good food and great lighting meant that I might have taken a few too many pictures!
After we left Brass Bell we had to go and do an Easter egg hunt with Seths family, one at my Moms place and then the Easter bunny finally remembered to visit our house too. The result is that our little bunnies had a lot of little bunnies! It was nuts. We really appreciate it, but there’s only so much we can allow. So it turned into a really good lesson in sharing – win-win really.
They’re already asking how long till next Easter so it was quite a hit!
