3 Kids, 2 Dogs and 1 Old House

From Mom

*WIN* A 6.5kg SPINDEL worth R2199!

5 August 2015
0 Facebook Twitter Google + Pinterest

I really, really don’t like Winter.

But you know what I detest more than Winter?  Overflowing laundry baskets and not having any clean dry clothes to wear in the morning.  Do you have any idea how many clothes 5 people go through every day?!  I thought I knew, but I lost count at article 143975 for the day.  Am I exaggerating?  Maybe.  But until you experience this yourself, you know nothing John Snow*!

(*Anyone else say that in her accent?  John Snoooh)

Look, I’m not going to reinvent the wheel here, I reviewed the Spindel around this time last year – you should go check it out.  I’m glad to report that we are doing slightly better in the bug department this year but I think this is a lot to do with the fact that we are exercising more.  Which obviously means even more clothes added to the mountainous pile.

The good news is that while our washing grew, so did the ability of the Spindel.  It can now hold 6.5kg of washing at a time!

This specialist laundry dryer removes the majority of moisture that is left behind after your washing machine’s spin cycle– leaving fabrics almost dry in just 3 minutes.  This means that your laundry gets dry in no time, even if it’s hung inside overnight during winter.

In case you’re wondering if your electricity bill will suddenly sky rocket (when it’s working that is), don’t worry.  The Spindel uses 100 times less electricity than tumble drying and it is safe for all fabrics, even those delicate hand washed winter woollies.

The Spindel is available in a 4.5kg and 6.5kg capacity and is very reasonably priced considering the substantial energy savings that it will bring about. Visit www.spindel.co.za for more information and a list of stockists.

I love that this amazing machine saves so much electricity with electricity prices so high at the moment this is the perfect machine to have in every household especially if there are a lot of kids and washing to go through. My friend has one and noticed all her baby clothes would stay in tact and the quality still great after every wash with my second baby on the way this would save so much in electricity bills, time and money and keep my clothes quality going for much longer.

After receiving our electricity bill this month, it’s probably wise that we cut down on our tumble drier usage. I love that it uses such a small amount of electricity to mostly dry your clothes.

With two working men, two extremely busy young boys and me being the lucky one that gets to keep the castle clean in every sense I absolutely love that the Spindel will get rid of the excess water that remains after spinning in only 3 mins which will help me get the massive laundry loads dry, folded and packed away quicker. Living in a flat with absolutely no outside washing line this would really be a life saver and just maybe I can have some well deserved me time ♥

Robyn 5 August 2015 at 7:56 AM

Anything that can ensure overnight dry washing for four people (including two littlies and an everyday cyclist) is the thing for me. I need this!

This is awesome, my wife have been forcing me to buy a tumble dryer. What joy this Spindel will bring in our home, especially drying our baby’s clothes. Saving electricity is key nowadays.

Reply
Catherine 5 August 2015 at 8:02 AM

It must be the fact that you no longer have to wait for three days fro your washing to dry in winter!

Reply
Amalia Appleton 5 August 2015 at 8:03 AM

Honestly, the most amazing feature of the spindle is that it can dry my kids’ clothes in winter!! It’s such a struggle with their things, don’t want to hang it outside in the sun, but hanging them inside takes forever to dry, and sometimes when I have to wash school clothes I have to wash early morning, freezing hands to get it dry by the next morning.

Reply
Saajida 5 August 2015 at 8:05 AM

Oh my, I can’t decide which is the bigger bonus: dry clothing in 3 mins or the sheer cost-effectiveness of it! I really hope to win. Our lives will be so much easier in the season I dread every year 😀

Reply
carlieshell 5 August 2015 at 8:06 AM

My favourite feature would be the small amount of electricity! I know in our fun day and age we hardly ever have electricity but when we do, I am very aware of cutting costs and saving as much electricity as I can 🙂 Jon Snoooooh! HAHAHA

My wife wants a tumble dryer. been forcing me, what joy this will bring us. Especially for the kids clothes. My year and a half baby dirties himself so much, we change him 3 times a day and his clothes run out. perfect for our home. It also saves electricity which is important with all the power cuts. I @boyas112 would LOVE THIS Amazing prize.

For me…right now the main feature I love is that it will actually dry all of our clothes. With a washer with a spin that’s more of a wash no spin…….drying will no longer become a heating game…a waiting game…a “please let it not rain tomorrow” game. The fact that its 6.5kg…can I get a whoop whoop!! Economical and gentle on baby’s stuff…gotta love it!!

I love the fact that my clothes will dry faster – now that I have at last found a job, my time is very limited! 🙂

My favourite feature is that it uses 100 times less electricity than a tumble tryer.. With two little ones and always a mountain of washing to do and get dry, this would be amazing to have.. Fingers crossed xx

Would be very handy for winter indeed! The tumble dryer uses way too much electricity so I rather spend endless days waiting for the washing to dry if it’s not something we need urgently.

That it saves energy by using 100 times less electricity than tumble drying and it also lowers the impact on the environment

Reply
Cathy Badenhorst 11 August 2015 at 12:28 AM

It uses centrifugal force instead of heat to quickly remove 80% of moisture from laundry in just 3 minutes therefore saving on your electricty bill and much kinder to our environment.
