Capturing Memories – Our Family Photo Shoot At Home

Our home is our sacred space.

So often we take it for granted.  Not fully enjoying the time that we have in it.  Sometimes even moaning that we have nothing to do instead of sitting at home (actually I can’t remember when last I thought that, but it happens).  But really it’s a little place where we can totally be ourselves – no pretense, no show, no need to impress.  We can literally fart around in our grotty old tracksuit that we’ve had for 5 years and no one cares.

I want our home to be a place of comfort to our children, where they feel loved and fulfilled.  When they look back on their childhood, I want this childhood home to be at the front of their memories for all the fun things that we did in it.

So to try and capture some of those memories and a few more, Katie Mayhew from Magical Moments in Time Photography came over and took a few pictures of us in our natural habitat.  And granted we cleaned up a bit before, but these pictures are really reflective of what it’s like living in the Alfino house.

This picture!  It’s gets it all, the 3 kids, the 2 dogs AND the old house!!

The moral of the story?  You should be booking Katie to capture some of your special memories at home (or at a location of your choice).
