I think the this is the longest I’ve gone without doing a currently post.
That means that I actually had my act together for more than a couple of weeks and wasn’t rocking in the corner trying to drown out all of the demands everyone always shouts at me. Obviously it was too good to last and now you’ll find me in that corner mumbling things like, “Was that chocolate I just licked off the floor?”.
Such is life I guess.
Thinking: About how much I am going to enjoy a child free evening this evening. The kids have gone away with Seths parents and we’re going to go out and pretend that we’re young, wild and free. Probably only to regret it in the morning haha. I know Cape Town CBD has a lot to offer in terms of food and night life, but I really also feel like watching a movie. Good grief I’m getting old.
Trying: This weekend it was our turn to round up the Come Dine With Me evenings that we have been having with our family. We did French and it was amazing (if I do say so myself). Going to try and get a round up on the blog in the next few weeks.
Enjoying: There is so much that I am not enjoying about Knox being three, like the new found high pitch temper tantrums and the endless need to be entertained. But what I am enjoying is his huge vocabulary – he knows what he wants and he will tell you in no uncertain terms. Like the other day for instance.
We’d just come home from our Moms group and I got everyone out of the car. The chilled in the garage while I went inside to disable the alarm. Suddenly he was shouting for me loudly and like he was in trouble, so I ran outside and there was was, standing just like this and said,
“Mom, can you take a pishure oh me?”
Oh to be the child of a blogger right?
Watching: We forgot that we’d stopped watching Elementary so we just skipped the missing season finale of season 2 and just started the first episode of season 3. I tried to google what we missed but didn’t feel like reading a freaking book on the subject. Can anyone summarise what we missed? Here’s what I gathered – Sherlock left without telling Watson and she was pissed. The end.
Loving: Being creative with my hair. Yes the grey is washing out a bit and leaving it with a slightly blonde sheen to it (and sometimes green ugh), but the pictures are also quite deceiving – it’s still quite grey in person. Nevertheless, I have been experimenting with adding colour to it now too. Well, the real story is that I opened my bathroom cabinet and found a can of purple hair spray in there that we had hidden away from the kids. Obviously I had to try it and see if I liked it and I do! So in love! Might even do a bit of gensin violet next time I wash my hair and just see what happens.
Because you like, only YOLO once hey boet.

I think the purple goes really well with the grey.
