So you’re a blogger and you live in Cape Town.
As we tend to do, you’ve been trawling social media and during your mindless escapes, you keep seeing a little #CTMeetUp hashtag floating around. You’ve wondered what it’s about but you’ve never really bothered to look much further into it because that cute cat video threw your mind off track.
Let me do you a favour and lay it all out for you in one spot:
What is the #CTMeetUp?
The short of it is that it’s an event for Cape Town bloggers to get together. “But why?” I hear the negative among us ask. Well, the purpose of meeting up is to get to know each other, finally meet the people you’ve been talking to online for ages, to make new friends or at the very least to remind ourselves that there is a real person behind all the screens.
Despite those things being reason enough, I want us all to take away a little something extra from the event. So we invite knowledgeable speakers that will help us to make the most of our blogs, challenge our current thinking or answer all the pressing questions that we have. This year Sam Wright and Ruan Fourie (both of whom have really successful blogs – Tech Girl and Gevaaalik, but also work at Webfluential) – will be sharing their years of experience and chatting to us about making the most out of your blog (potentially monetising it) and the Do’s and Don’t’s of Blogging.
Who can go to the #CTMeetUp? Do I have to be a blogger?
I’d love to include everyone, but because of the nature of the event and our wonderful sponsors, we have to limit it to bloggers only. How big or small you are is totally irrelevant, what matters is that you have a platform that you regularly share on.
Also, it doesn’t matter what niche you are in – the more the merrier! If you’re a travel blogger – join us! If you’re a beauty blogger – join us! If you’re a beauty blogger – join us! (You get the picture, I’ll stop now).

OK you sold me, but how much is it?
The ticket prices are R300 per head.
Now hold up. I know the price is steeper than it has been in previous years, but before you close the tab, let me just run through what you’ll be getting.
A delicious three course meal. That’s right, three courses including pre-drinks, drinks, tea and coffee. This alone is worth much more than your ticket price. Add in the fact that you get to mingle with friends, hear insightful words about our industry from a couple of people in the know, eat great food, drink all the drinks AND walk away with a goody bag that might just be the most amazing ever, and well, I wonder why it’s taken you so long to book your spot!
There are only 20 tickets left and we work on the basis of you needing to pay for your ticket before it is officially booked, so make sure you don’t miss out.
Email me on cindyalfino@gmail.com to get the details to book your ticket.
Here’s a look back at previous years:

EXCITED is an under under understatement.
When is the main meal – just asking, you mentioned starters and desserts?
