~*WIN*~ A Happy Father’s Day With Thomas Sabo

17 June 2017
5 Facebook Twitter Google + Pinterest

There was a lot that I was looking forward to when Seth and I got married.  Moving out of our parents houses and into our own space.  Not having to say goodbye at the end of every day.  Being able to do life together.  But I think that the most exciting of those was watching my husband turn into a father.

Sponsored

As you’ll know if you have read this blog for any length of time, having babies was huge for me.  I was broody for as long as I could remember.  But my husband, although he wanted kids, was not as desperate as I was.   It wasn’t the same kind of deep yearning that I had.  Or at least, it wasn’t already there only a year after getting hitched.

When we got pregnant with Kyla we were obviously both excited for the birth.  Though it was easier for me to feel like a parent when peanut was still growing in my tummy, it was harder for Seth.  But wow.  Guys, I remember so distinctly when they placed Kyla in Seth’s arms.  The way he held her, I could just tell that he was willing to give up anything to protect her.  Seeing the tears in his eyes as he gazed at his daughter was a moment I will never forget.  Since then I have watched him form the same love for Riya and Knox and I am so proud to have him to help me parent our children.

When the lovely folks at Thomas Sabo got in touch with me to review their new range of jewellery and watches  I was all in.  The first thing I noticed as I was looking drooling through their lookbook, was the men’s watches.  They had a presence that really struck me and so instead of using this opportunity to spoil myself, I wanted to spoil the man who has my heart.  Because let’s face it, he totally deserves it after putting up with me for so many years and still loving me despite my numerous flaws.  And it’s Father’s Day tomorrow and I wanted to show him how much it means to me that he is a hands on Dad who is involved in his kids lives.

Also, Seth currently has a sports watch, which is super practical but kind of loses the impact that a nice dress watch has.  I love a good watch.  It’s super attractive.  So with this in mind, we focused specifically on the Rebel at Heart range within Thomas Sabo and there were so many trendy options to choose from it took us a while to decide which one we loved the most.

The watch that Seth chose has a really sophisticated but trendy feel to it.  I love the way it looks when he’s dressed up for work, it’s the perfect piece to complete his work wardrobe.  The strap is a smidge shinier than we had anticipated when we ordered it but the more I see it, the more I like it.

TIME TO WIN

Now I’d like to give you guys the opportunity to spoil the father figure person in your life.  I know not everyone has a great relationship with their own Dad’s or with their kids father’s but this is really for any man in your life that supports you, your children or your family.  It’s time to show them how much you appreciate them and what they do for you.

Together with Thomas Sabo, we’ll be giving away this watch – so enter with the Rafflecopter widget below.

Chris is away this Fathers Day so we will do a FaceTime Father’s Day this year, he will lie in bed in Mali with a cup of coffee, and Zoe will lie on our bed here with some tea, and they can have a nice long chat together. Sometimes it’s not about the big grand things, but the sweet little moments. But to be able to surprise him with his watch when he gets home in a few weeks would certainly make him very happy!!

So many plans this year because it’s my husbands first father’s day so very excited to spoil him for all that he’s done over this first year. Breakfast in bed, all his favorites, while he watches rugby highlights ( he’s usually not allowed to on a Sunday when the girls are around haha). Then he’s getting a matching tee set with our baby girl, last year when I was pregnant he got batman and I bought her a Robin one side for when she was born. This year it’s player 1 and player 2. Then because he’s a foodie he’s getting ‘vouchers’ for date days at rocomamas and the creamery and last but not least home made very ‘abstract’ art from my 10 month old haha

I don’t work so when an aunt gave a little money to our kids as a spoil them thing, I sort of hid it away (We spoil them a lot so they wouldn’t mind) and kept it so we could get their daddy, my husband a little something. As I knew my friend was taking me and my son to his speech therapy session this week, I asked her to take us to the mall on the way back and we chose a “this dad is awesome mug, a fathers day card and gift bag for him. On top of that my son’s creche’ had them make gifts for dad too. So besides all of those little things he gets breakfast when he gets home from work in the morning and we go out for supper that evening.

This will be for my husband my dad passed away but he will always remain in my heart. Well here is how…Firstly breakfast in bed with our 2 little ones laying beside daddy..What Dad wants most is to have a day free from any pressure. Even the pressure of having a “perfect day.” Dad would really appreciate no deadlines, no hassles, no chores, no having to fix anything, and no rushing about on this special day. Let him really relax so he can enjoy his day.
Spend time together..Enjoying each other’s company as a family ,take this day to focus on spending time together as a family. Go for a walk, have a picnic, lie in a hammock together, share stories and dreams together. Now that’s a day Dad will really remember?
Father’s Day is not just a day to celebrate Dad as provider and caregiver for the children. It’s a day to honor your partner as your lover and friend. Make him feel special by telling him how much he means to us as a partner and as the father to our children, and steal a few moments during the day to show him how much i love him.
Instead of planning everything out for him, i will give him the gift of freedom and choice.I will Let him make decisions about what to do and how to spend the day. He deserves it!
Fathers want to be appreciated. Will tell him how much i need him. Show him how i feel by writing him a thank-you note detailing the ways he contributes to the family, how he gives moral and emotional support, what makes him a great parent and partner. I don’t have to spend a lot of money on extravagant gifts our gratitude and love are the greatest gifts we can give him this Father’s Day. #Fathersday

A interesting article and it truly is a beautiful and trendy timepiece which I would love for my precious fiance’ , he is so deserving of this …I was widowed at a young age with a daughter and we met on Facebook and he coincidently is also widowed with two kids, he has been absolutely amazing, caring, supportive, loves and cares for my daughter as his own. He brought me happiness I thought I would never have again, he took away my tears and pain despite him going through grief as well. A remarkable gentleman so full of kindness , would be absolutely wonderful to win and surprise him with this watch. We are waiting to tie the knot as soon as the kids are more settled . To others who have known loss theres hope for a new beginning and to those who are married love and cherish your spouse life is unpredictable , make beautiful memories. Blessings to all of you.

He was a man with a heart of gold and everyone who he came in contact with loved him. No task was too difficult for him and he would help anyone at any given time. If he had his last cent in his wallet he would give it to someone who needs it more than he did. I will always remember him for all that he has taught me. Love u always dad. I would love to win thus awesome prize in memory of my dad.

We ended having a super chilled Father’s Day, although I’m very proud of my hubby as the gorgeous weather really motivated him to finish the kid’s outside bench & he setup our eco tank. So even on Father’s Day he was still doing fatherly things, that’s why I feel we should celebrate Dad’s everyday & what better way than with an absolutely amazing watch! My husband is very much into his watches, & I can honestly say I have never seen a sexier watch. It’s definitely an item that I know will make him feel appreciated & reflect his Batman superhero qualities (as much as he loves the kids homemade gifts). Plus winning it will make my life easier as I know he would prefer the money that it would cost me to rather go towards house improvements (He’s a keeper). Holding thumbs!

I baked cupcakes for him, but I think the universe did try to warn me not to. I did not listen. Let’s leave it at that and say those cupcakes should never have been made. MOving along…I let him sleep in until about 9am. Breakfast in bed. Cooked him a huge lunch….curry, pasta, roast, pumpkin. But once he was done opening gifts and enjoying his sleep in, he wanted me to relax, hung up the washing, swept and went on a spring cleaning mission in the kids rooms. Totally embracing the spirit of being a father and husband….we don’t get days off, no matter what the day. xxx

This is an amazing giveaway. I got hubby a watch when we got married in 2005 and he was devestated because it was stolen about a year or so ago. I since bought him a new one but it’s not as nice. The Thomas Sabo range is gorgeous! My husband totally deserves this spoil. <3

We, as a family, have chosen not to celebrate Mother’s and Father’s Days on the actual day, to avoid the commotion and commercialisation. We celebrate it a few weeks later, so I’ll be making plans to spoil my dad somewhere in July. Probably with an item of clothing (he hates buying clothes for himself), and a lovely lunch out in the beautiful Cape Winelands.

Ok, seriously well on Sunday morning, my children surprised my (amazing, humble, kind, funny, sexy & supportive) husband with wine-glasses and jumper cables (which he loved) and homemade cards of course which are always a hit. Then we headed to church (not the hills) and afterwards I made lunch for my bunch and my husband’s mom and dad and we gave his dad chocolate & shower gel for Father’s Day. Afterwards we we ate ice-cream, basked in the winter sunshine and the love that was all around us and jumped in big piles of leaves in the garden. It was a beautiful day and I feel blessed with my beautiful family….X

Ok so it was my Dad’s 29th Fathers day and my husbands 2nd. I had this really cute photo shoot with our boy en his daddy’s shoes and then I had the photo printed on a coffee cup. I know it’s very corny but my husband needed a cup for work so it was the perfect gift. We made a really nice Sunday lunch and just spent the time together as a family!

My husband is so endlessly supportive with our two year old and six month old that his Father’s Day treat was a round of golf! Parenting, working and studying means he never gets to play anymore and it’s always good to have a breather in order to appreciate what you have.

What an amazing gift this would be for my incredible hubby who is a caring son to his 87 year old mom, a doting dad and magical grandad who has had a huge let down at work but is trying hard to look ahead with positivity and faith.

I got Craig a personalized Lego man! He is holding a glass and a lightsaber coz he likes beer and star wars. Also took him out for brunch and I was very nice and let him sleep 15 minutes longer than normal!

helped the kids show their appreciation for all he does by making cards and a personal gift.
we showered him with lots of hugs and kisses throughout the day.
Not forgetting the best way to a mans heart is with food, so made all his favourites.

The kiddies and I made cards for their dad.. so daddy has been “credited” with I.o.u. cards which he can cash in at any time.. they range from hugs, to back massages, foot rubs, even a change the TV channel card. We then had a lovely family day…

Time…. a precious gift that cannot be bought… I am going to spend my time with my pops! We will do the things HE loves, prepare HIS favourite meal and generally let the day flow at his very own pace. There will be no rush, no anxiety to be anywhere else because our folks are our priority, and should always be. ?

My dad is late but my brother has played a very fatherly figure role to me and my daughter. Since he lives in another province, I sent him a spa hamper 🙂 I will be seeing him in the next month or so for a small family vacay and would love to personally present him with this watch 🙂
