I Can’t Stop Staring At Them – Our Family Photo Shoot (Finally!)

I suppose I should preface this post with the fact that although Knox is 15 months old, we do not have one single family photo.  Not a single one.

This fact made me sad.  Photos capture a moment in time that you will be able to keep with you forever.  And I want to capture our family as we are right now.  I love my little family more than words can ever express and being able to have a glimpse into this phase of our lives is going to be so great to look back on when Seth and I are old, grey and rocking on our front porch together.

But having the right photographer is so important because, although anyone can take a picture, there are not many that can capture all the perfect details of a special moment – especially one that is candid and not posed.

When I first spotted Susie Leblondes work I knew that I just had to contact her to do our photos for us.  And let me tell you, she exceeded every bit of expectation that I had.  Her love for photography is clear and you can see the love made visible, not only during the shoot but also when we collected our gorgeous photo’s just a couple of days later.

I was nervous about how the pictures were going to turn out.  Let’s just say that Riya is sick of being a model and hardly wanted to be present in any of the pictures.  But, like I said – the right photographer makes all the difference!

It’s been really hard to choose my favourites, so be prepared for A LOT of photo’s.
