A Day In The Life Of The Alfino'sKnoxOur Kiddies

Like Father, Like Son

The first thing that people say when they see the girls is, “Are they twins?”

Once they get over the fact that they are not in fact twins and that yes, Riya does look older than Kyla because somehow even though she’s a year younger – she’s a full 2 cm taller, they say, “Oh they look just like their Mommy!”.

Even though I’ve been receiving these comments for 5 years now, I still don’t see it.  Maybe I see some of me in Riya, but that’s only if I squint and switch off the light.  To me all of them just look like Seth.  Although the Alfino gene pool doesn’t run deep in terms of hair and eye colour, it does run deep in terms of features.

Case in point?  Knox.

This is a picture of Knox.  No wait, it’s Seth.  Uh, no sorry.  It’s Knox.  Nope Seth?

Really without the blast from the past in fashion and decor, it’d be really difficult to tell the difference.  It’s basically the same person with slightly different hair.

Remarkable.

I guess it was hard for people on the street to see the resemblance when he’s been walking around looking like this for the last couple of years:

My very own bearded Tarzan.

Recently all that changed when Seth chopped it all off and now all I can see is the kids.  I feel like the weird outsider.

I have to say, I get a little heart flutter every time I see him now.

Don’t get me wrong, the beard was great (I made him keep it for so long because I liked it, probably more than he did).  But seeing him like this is like rewinding the clock by 9 years.  He looked like this when we got married and it’s crazy to see him look like this again.

Smitten.  That’s me.

What!!! The kids really do look like him!!! I once heard a statistics that about 80% of kids look like their fathers no explanation except nature’s insurance 🙂 🙂

Your kids are all gorgeous, and the girls do look a lot like you!
Love how you’re smitten with your beardless hubby, yay!

I can see some similar features to you although they all do look like your husband. 🙂

I also get told often how the kids look like my hubby. Agree with MrsFF about it being nature’s insurance lol. 😀
